First Quarter Phase
Cancer Sun
Libra Moon |
1ST QUARTER PHASE (June 26-29)
The following is an excerpt from Zodiac Arts News - New Moon in Gemini - June 19, 2012.
“Our advice for this cycle:
This is the 2nd Gemini lunation; the first one on May 20 was a Solar Eclipse. There is a continuation of the last cycle's themes. While relationships remain in the forefront, the emphasis has shifted to become much more personal. The timing works well, providing us the opportunity to take a closer look at who and what we value, and how we process our thoughts.”
The 2nd Gemini New Moon on June 19 began a 29.6-day cycle with continued attention to our thought processes, giving us some additional time to examine our perceptions and energetic thought forms. A review of the questions from the first Gemini cycle will provide clues to the adjustments that must be made between spurts of rapid growth.
Take advantage of the knowledge gained last month to reform your attitudes and facilitate healthy growth. Let your curiosity lead you to fresh perspectives. This is an excellent cycle to gain clarity on your values and become more adept at communicating them.
Given the Uranus square Pluto in Aries and Capricorn, Saturn finally moving forward and ultimately out of Libra, Venus stationing direct in Gemini, and Mercury just beginning a tour through Leo, the word for this Gemini cycle is INSPIRATION.
Remembering that 1st Quarter energy always demands a decision to move forward accompanied by an action taken in support of the decision, here are some activities especially suited to this 1st Quarter phase (June 26-29):
- Taking action to improve interpersonal relationships is especially important now.
- Express your intent to bring balance and harmony into your communications in 10 words or less.
- Increase social activities and enhance relationships with charm and poise.
- Add rhythmic and graceful movements into your activities for an exhilarating mental and physical workout.
- Enrich the quality of your decisions with a sensitive, fair, and fresh perspective.
Here are some more specific suggestions for action:
- Dance - Alone or with a partner.
- Write a love-letter to a family member.
- Call your sister or someone sister-like for their opinion.
- Send out a call for communication - start a correspondence with a pen pal or join an Interest List on FaceBook or Yahoo Groups.
- Play a word game like Scrabble, Boggle, or Hangman.
- Make an Inspiration Box.
Dedicate and decorate a small basket, bowl, or box as the container for your 'inspired ideas'. When you have an inspired thought or think of anything that interests you
(an idea, a symbol, an image, a color combination, a word, a title, a story) jot it down on a piece of paper and put it in the box. Go through the box periodically for inspiration. Be prepared for brilliance and transformation. There is a wealth of innovative ideas to be explored and put into action over the next 3 years.
I made mine from a small round gift box with a removable top.
Decorated with ribbons and placed on an altar of pink duct tape,
it holds my ideas written on star notes.
For the internet savvy,
Pinterest is a free digital Idea Box.
Questions to consider during this phase:
- When and with who is it most difficult for you to express your feelings?
- What words trigger your emotions?
- How you are influenced by gossip or the media?
- What value do you place on words?
- Who’s words do you repeat most often?
- How can you support others with your words?
Affirm: “I am mindful of my thoughts and speech.”
May our paths to growth be illuminated by the light of loving kindness,
Sandra
